What do I wear to the Couples Retreat?

A

Wear something comfortable. There is nobody to impress at the Couples Retreat. Come casual. If you are cold natured, then bring a light sweater or coat. The room tends to be cool.

The final night we will have a semi-formal dinner and party. Bring something to wear you can have fun in!

Is this a Christian or Religious Retreat?

A

The Couples Retreat does not push, cram, preach or manipulate their religious beliefs on others. We allow individuals to freely express how God relates to the games or drills, but we do not allow anyone to preach at others. We ask that everyone be respectful of the different belief systems of other people.

Many people come into the Couples Retreat wanting to have a better relationship with God. We have designed the games to help everyone find what they desire. We spend about an hour dealing with spiritual damage caused by others.

Does the Couples Retreat provide meals?

A

The Couples Retreat does not provide meals. There will be sufficient breaks to eat meals.

How often do we have breaks?

A

Generally we break every two hours for 10 minute breaks.

What is the age limit?

A

All participants must be at least 18 years.

What makes your program different from counseling?

A

We don’t give you any advice. You’ll find your own answers as you play the interactive games and drills.

We don’t or can’t communicate with each other, can the Couples Retreat teach us how?

A

Communication or the lack of is a major issue in many relationships. Many couples have poor communications because they stop communicating their thoughts and feelings with each other. They stop because they are tired of repeating themselves or because they are tired of being hurt by their spouses. The Couples Retreat helps couples start opening new lines of communication. You and your spouse will start expressing your feelings and concerns with each other in a healthy positive manor.

Does the Couples Retreat provide child care?

A

The Couples Retreat does not provide child care. Please make arrangements prior to attending.

Do I have to be on TV?

A

No. The Couples Retreat is in a private and confidential setting. If we conduct seminars in the future that are going to be filmed, we will designate those seminars as TV special events.

Our children are gone, we’ve grown apart we have nothing in common anymore, can the Couples Retreat help us?

A

So many couples invest so much time into their children’s lives that they forget to invest time in themselves or their spouse, much less their relationships. Once the children are gone they are finding that they have no common ground anymore. The Couples Retreat helps couples to be able to reconnect and to find that “loving feeling” again. Most couples say they feel closer or find a deeper new love for their spouse during the Couples Retreat.

My spouse is verbally and sometimes physically abusive, my spouse if full of anger, can the Couples Retreat help us?

A

The Couples Retreat is designed to help couples who currently have a strong foundation in their relationship. The Couples Retreat will help build communication, love an intimacy in couples’. If your relationship suffers from verbal or physical abuse, you may want to consider attending our Marriage Boot Camp, where you will have the opportunity to address the anger bitterness & resentment that might be contributing to the abuse.

How does it work?

We use 25+ interactive games, drills and skits that are designed to help couples open up and communicate in ways they may not have communicated in the past. The tools that you experience while at the Couples Retreat can be continued when the vacation is over so that you and your partner will have a new life and new relationship of open communication and a stronger bond.

Do we have to be married to attend the Couples Retreat?

A

No. The Couples Retreat welcomes all couples weather dating, engaged or married.
